It’s been a while since my last entry. A lot has happened over the last 6 months including the fact that I am now back in Spokane, Washington. Yippeee!

I will start doing at least four entries a week starting today. So stay tuned, and hopefully the stuff I post will be useful to you.

For those who blog and like blogging or responding to blogs with comments, you will like this application called Gravatars.

I found the site http://en.gravatar.com/ while researching all that I would need to make my new blog site look cool.  It’s a plugin for most of the popular blog platforms like Wordpress, MovableType, Blogger, and Livejournal.  With the plugin you get a 53 x 53 image that you can allow the application auto assign to you, or you can make your own custom image.  These 53 x 53 images then show in all your posts on your blog as your Avatar. But wait, here’s the best part.  If you are an active person on blogs that use the gravatar plugin you can register at their site and have your Avatar follow you wherever you post.

The way it works is by tracking your email address.  Whenever you post on someone else’s blog and use the email address you use with gravatar, your avatar will automatically show on that post.  This is a really great feature and allows you to build a web identity that is recognizable from blog to blog if you are an active blogger.
